La Russa and pitching coach Dave Duncan plan to give reliever Brad Thompson Tuesday's start against the Milwaukee Brewers. Thompson worked a scoreless inning Saturday.

Ugh, you might be right.
That's a really interesting point because the two are/were interchangeable in terms of what function they perform.Hungary Jack wrote:I have a hard time thinking they'd start Thompson now that Josh Hancock is gone (feels really weird to put it like that).
