Chris Duncan or JJ Hardy?

Got another league where I recently dropped Chris Duncan and picked up JJ Hardy. Glaus went on the DL, and he's my normal SS. Well, Glaus is back and playing most of the time at corner infield, Hardy is still on my club as the starting SS right now.

Meanwhile, Chris Duncan still sits on the waiver wire, and he has dual eligibility, at 1b (Ryan Howard on the DL, Prince Fielder, and Adrian Gonzalez.... but remember we have a corner infield position) and OF.

I'm probably going to ride Hardy's hot bat for awhile, and maybe try to trade Glaus, but given the choice between the two, who would you rather have on your fantasy team, Hardy or Duncan?

That's a tough one Fat Strat. I would just flip a coin. If I saw all of your offense and all the positions used in your league, I would be able to make a choice.

I think that Hardy serves my needs better right now, but Duncan's starting to heat up, and Hardy could definitely be moved in a trade.

Really, my question is more general. Duncan vs. Hardy, who'll be the better player for the rest of the year?

I'd shop Hardy, move Glaus to short, put Gonzalez in the corner infield spot and keep Duncan. I don't think Hardy has any business doing what he is doing right now.

the only thing else i would add to the equation...as of right now, hardy plays on a better team...and one that may provide more opportunities than our little dunc has...

and scully was making a point last night about how dunc had 22 hrs last year, but only 44 (or so) rbi....

so i guess im just "answering" your general question...at least for the year, hardy may have a more productive fantasy year...

but yea...thats not all that helpful

I agree with the first half, and sort of the second. Hardy won't lead the NL in HR's, but there's no reason he's not a 20/20 or 300/20/90 Type player either. I think you'd get a few more HR's and RBI's outa Duncan, and if you can get a good SP with it do it. You could probably package Hardy and Mid ier SP for an Ace on a staff with plenty of pitching. But Hardy is still a very good, talented ball player.

I'm really happy that I picked up Hardy a couple of weeks ago.

I also picked up Dunc for my bench.

I also have Howard on my team.
