trading pujols

Post by heyzeus »

In my Cards Talk keeper league (each team keeps 6 i think), someone just offered me Kinsler, Giambi, and Beckett for Pujols.

Offer your opinions here. Then I'll offer mine.

Kinsler is on my team. He has great games, but then he has a lot of crumby ones. He'll get a steal here or there. Check out his average in the last month. I keep him on the bench a lot.

Is it a keeper league? If so, no way.

Hey Zeus, I proposed the trade to you.
I know you turned it down. But is there any counter offer or proposition you'd take?
I need a roster shake up. Kinsler is young and ripping it up, as is Beckett. I know Pujols is struggling, but he's Pujols. I added Giambi to provide an adequate 1st Basemen replacement. My team is struggling and I need to make something happen. I have 5 pitchers on the DL, but I wasn't doing so hot before that.

The problem is that Kinsler started hot but has been slumping. Giambi and Beckett are hurt and have serious injury history. Giambi no longer hits many homers, and he and Kinsler are both low in batting average.

For Pujols, it would take two high-order keepers. But overall, I'm disinclined to trade him, because it's just too much fun to have him on the Cardinals and my fantasy team.

I hear you and understand.
What about Bay, Kinsler, and Giambi?

If I can get him for Adrian Gonzalez in a non-keeper league do I do it?

Who, Pujols? Absolutely.
Giambi? No.
