Trade question?

Post by stlmark »

I've been offered a trade in one of my leagues. Should I do this deal? I'm leaning towards not doing it. I should add that this is a keeper league. Here's the deal:

I would be getting:

Mark Reynolds
Josh Willingham
Jason Bay
Jeff Kent

I would be trading away:
Ken Griffey Jr.
Curtis Granderson
Rafael Furcal

I would totally do that trade.

Jason Bay is a stud and easily compensates for Griffey (I always worry about griffey getting injured, sellign high on him is a good idea)

Mark Reynolds is sort of an unknown, he has good stats for 100 abs, but will that translate through an entire season? It's hit and miss.

I think Josh Willingham is the real deal and is better than Granderson.

So your wash is Kent for Furcal. Furcal has the higher ceiling but Kent is doing better right now.

So yes, I would do the trade.

Interesting, isn't Chad Tracy going to take 3rd base back over from Mark Reynolds.

I'm iffy on dealing Granderson and Furcal for Kent and Willingham.

Quite possibly, but I consider him a throwin.

Bay + Kent + Willingham >> Furcal + Granderson + Griffey

I turned it down. I just asked for the same thing except I substituted Gallardo from Milwaukee for Reynolds. I'm hoping he'll go/fall for it.
