is there a way to remove the joined info when we (i) post? not that it isn't "interesting" to know, but it seems unnecessary and it makes the lines uneven...(for my ocd part of me)

Don't know. I've noticed the same thing. Use prosilver and the date will be on the same line as the day.
/me drunk so if this don't make sense ignore it.

I think that he means that in subsilver the time joined appears beneath the date joined underneath the avatar. It looks disjointed.

I changed the default time setting. If you still see the issue change the date to a smaller format in your profile:
User Control Panel--> Board preferences --> Edit global settings --> My date format:
