The Memphis Redbirds lost to the Iowa Cubs 4-3.
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Jarrett Hoffpauir went 2 for 3.
    • Colby Rasmus and Cody Haerther both went 2 for 4.
    • Brian Barden went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Anthony Reyes gave up three runs in seven innings on five hits.
    • Jason Motte continues to show some struggles. He gave up a run on two hits and a walk in an inning pitched.
    • John Wasdin gave up two hits but kept the Cubs off the board in the ninth.

The Springfield Cardinals defeated the Arkansas Travelers 3-1. Even though they won, Springfield collected just four hits in the game.
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Shane Robinson went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBI.
    • Allen Craig went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI.
    • Tyler Greene went 1 for 3.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Tyler Herron had his second consecutive positive start at Springfield. He gave up a run on six hits and two walks in five and two thirds innings.
    • Luke Gregerson struck out two in two and two thirds scoreless innings.
    • Fernando Salas, as it seems he always is, was perfect in the ninth for the save.

The Palm Beach Cardinals defeated the Clearwater Threshers 5-4.
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Brandon Buckman went 2 for 3 with a walk, a double, a homer and two RBI.
    • Oliver Marmol's only hit in three AB was a two-run homer.
    • Dan Descalso went 2 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Brad Furnish gave up three runs on eight hits and four walks in five innings. Not a great outing, but at least he limited the damage.
    • Kenny Maiques pitched two scoreless innings in his return from injury.
    • Davis Bilardello picked up his first save of the season.

The Quad Cities River Bandits defeated the Peoria Chiefs 8-5.
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Tommy Pham homered twice in the victory.
    • Matt Arburr went 1 for 4 with a home run and two RBI.
    • Pete Kozma went 1 for 4 with two RBI and a run scored.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Thomas Eager gave up five runs on six hits and two walks in four innings.
    • Matt Spade struck out two in a perfect inning of work.
    • Brian Broderick had an impressive showing in the piggyback. He pitched four scoreless innings and struck out eight in that time.

The VSL Cardinals defeated the VSL Tigers 4-1.
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Hector Garcia and Cristofher Dumont both went 2 for 4 with a homer.
    • Gerardo Mannbel went 1 for 3 and homered. If Brett can be the Walrus, Gerardo can be the Manatee.
    • Inojoza Kaizer went 1 for 3 with a stolen base.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Carlos Noguera gave up a run on five hits in five innings.
    • Fabian Marquez pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
    • David Brito picked up his first save.

Any chance Salas skips AAA? His Palm Beach stint looks bad, but everywhere else he's been awesome.

If Motte continues to struggle, it wouldn't surprise me to see he and Salas swapped.

My question is with Duncan back in the bigs do Shane Robinson or Jon Jay get moved up or does somebody else get moved??
