I had never heard that Radiohead cover before. Amazing.
And thanks for reposting Metric, Geen. I remember seeing that before (I think it was in the "Covers better than the original" thread way back when), but you're right, it's so good.
I've always liked this version of the The Beatles "I Will", perhaps because it's so different. Or maybe because I'm a fan of Tony Furtado's banjo playing.

My favorite current band, Chromatics, has a handful of covers that are all aces. My favorite, of Springsteen's "I'm on Fire":

But they have equally great takes on Joy Division's "Ceremony," Neil Young's "Hey Hey My My (Into the Black)," and Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill."
Another of my favorite bands, Galaxie 500, was always good for excellent covers, including the aforementioned "Ceremony," but my favorites of theirs are Yoko Ono's "Listen, the Snow is Falling":

and a cover of a little-known song by a band called Red Krayola from the 60s, "Victory Garden":

Plus my favorite artist ever is Emmylou Harris, who made her career doing covers, so just pretend I posted everything of hers here.

Would you like to see three Japanese chicks take "Top of the World" and rock out with it? Of course you would.
