Best April Stats

Post by robbotis »

I'll give it my best shot to provide the best stats for the first month:

Memphis
Hitter:
Shane Robinson went .375/.437/.479. So despite a sub 500 slugging % he still broke .900 OPS. Impressive, but unlikely to continue.
Pitcher:
Tie between two highly thought of Prospects.
Clayton Mortenson 18.1 IP, 1.47 ERA, 12 K's 11 BB, WHIP 1.15.
Jess Todd 11.1 IP, 1.59 ERA, 16 K's only 3 BB, 0.79 WHIP.

Springfield
Hitter:
Springfield certainly has it's share of hitting prospects. Sorry to Hill, Jones, Henley, and Wallace(all having an OPS of .900 or better). The surprise here is 2B, Daniel Descalso going .392/.451/.662. 6 doubles, 4 triples, and 2 home runs, along w/ a .392 average are really impressive.
Pitcher:
It's a good thing this team can hit. The best pitching line for April belongs to reliever Tyler Norrick, 14.1 IP, 2.51 ERA, 20 K's, 7 BB, 1.19 WHIP.

Palm Beach
Hitter:
W/ no power on the team, the best batter thus far is Adron Chambers, .390/.438/.576. Zero Homers, but five triples.
Pitcher:
Lance Lynn has the best of some pretty decent lines. 15.2 IP, 2.30 ERA, 17 K's, 3 BB, 1.21 WHIP.

Quad Cities
Hitter:
Not much here, w/ less than 20 games played, but the catchers are looking good. 20 year old Roberto Espinoza: .350/.536/.400 and 22 year old Charles Cutler: .325/.451/.425.
Pitcher:
21 year old Closer Casey Mulligan has been real tough to hit. 8 IP, 1.13 ERA, 15 K's, 2 BB, 0.63 WHIP, only 3 hits allowed, good for 5 saves.

I'm interested to see what Lynn does this year.

I'm interested to see if this team will ever draft a blue chip pitching prospect.
