The Memphis Redbirds won 6-5 against the Iowa Cubs. box
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Jon Jay and Ruben Gotay each went 1 for 3 and had a walk. Jay's hit was a double.
    • Daniel Descalso was 2 for 4 with a double.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Trey Hearne made his season debut and gave up 2 runs in 4 innings of work.
    • Fernando Salas picked up a save with a scoreless ninth.
The Springfield Cardinals had the night off.


The Palm Beach Cardinals won 5-2 against the St. Lucie Mets. box
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Matt Carpenter doubled in 2 at bats and walked twice.
    • Alex Castellanos and Domnit Bolivar were each 2 for 4.
    • Luis De La Cruz and Tommy Pham both went 1 for 3 with a walk. Pham's hit was a double.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Jared Bradford held the Mets scoreless for the first 7 innings, but ran into trouble in the 8th. There he gave up 2 runs and left with runners at first and third.
    • However, Mark Diapoules put out the fire and stranded both runners.
    • Casey Mulligan then picked up another save in the ninth.
The Quad Cities River Bandits had an ugly 10-9 win over the Beloit Snappers. box
  • Batting Highlights:
    • Jason Stidham had 3 hits in 5 at bats.
    • Matt Adams was 2 for 4 with a double, a walk, and a stolen base.
    • Devin Shepherd went 2 for 5 and threw out a runner trying to score.
    • Robert Stock was 2 of 5.
    Pitching Highlights:
    • Shelby Miller tossed 4 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 doubles and a single. He struck out 7 batters and walked one.
    • Chris Corrigan threw 1 and 2/3 scoreless innings.
    • The other pitchers gave up 7 runs, but Aaron Terry restored some sanity with a scoreless ninth.
