I don't know exactly what you are talking about, but what I have learned about shoulder injuries is just how much they affect you at night. I can deal with the pain levels through the day, even the occasional knife jab when I move it wrong, but what is hard to deal with is how it messes with your sleep. I don't know if it's the way my arm lays, or if it's that I roll on it at night, but it wakes me up alot. Last night I popped 325mg of hyrdocodone and a shot of whiskey at 2am to get back to sleep.

Until I experienced shoulder problems I didn't realize how much they affect your life. You just figure well I won't move it/use it. Not possible.

I've gotten used to sleeping face down with a pillow under my shoulder to push it back. Any other way and it kills. If I roll over in my sleep, I'll have intense pain the entire next day. It took me a long time after surgery to get to the point where I could sleep regularly.

I can't sleep face down, but I can drink lots of whiskey. I'm trying that tonight, let's see how it goes.
