Sanchez has the best "stuff" in our pen IMO. Pair that with a spring training lineup... yeah, that's what you get.

I love sanchez and i hope he can get his stuff together enough to become our go-to setup guy this year. Him and motte back to back would be a nice change of pace compared to the last few years.

Sanchez will be the closer in St Louis some day. I really hope he's at least on our roster this season, because he looks like Lidge in his prime out there.

Boggs, Salas, Sanchez, Lynn, Motte, Scrabble

That's a sick pen right there.

I honestly think Sanchez might have the best stuff of anyone currently in a MLB pen.

If so, only because Daniel Bard got moved to the rotation.

Langoustine wrote:Four bullpen spots seem destined for Jason Motte, Marc Rzepczynski, J.C. Romero and McClellan. To fill the other three, the Cardinals will consider Eduardo Sanchez, Fernando Salas, Mitchell Boggs and Scott Linebrink -- though other candidates could emerge. And Matheny said that Lynn would jump right back into that mix should Carpenter end up ready to start the season on time.
So, if Carp is okay, just switch out Linebrink for Lynn. Those are four GRB favorites right there. Who's the bubble?

Salas has to be a given after the year he had last year. I really hope we end up having Lynn and Sanchez in the other 2 spots, but I fear one of them will start in AAA with Linebrink taking up the final spot in the big league pen.

part of me thinks linebrink will make it 'cause of his "veteraness"...in line with the TLR playbook

i want to like boggs but ultimately he hasn't shown much and i think there are better candidates

salas i would think makes due to his contributions last year.

i hope sanchez makes it 'cause his stuff is fun to watch.
