CFP results came back today. Boom.
Next: CFA I in December.
These exams are miserable, but passing exams equals better pay, so we take 'em.

I passed CFA I last December, so if you have any questions PM me. It's not too bad. I'm taking II in June, and it's supposed to be the worst of the three. From now until then my life will be perpetual study. It's fun.

Yeah, a few guys in the office are taking II in June, and one is taking III. I am not worried about I, but II seems to be a tough [expletive].

The best thing about passing the bar exam is never having to take another [expletive] test ever again in this lifetime.

don't forget the polygraph and drug tests, eye tests, pregnancy test, or a test case.

RANT: passing exams that offer certificates of proficiency mean no extra money for me.

But Luke, you get a certificate suitable for framing, which I think is better than money. I just turned around and looked at mine. It says:
Foundation Certificate in IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT
It looks kind of like that, you can tell the just printed off a generic certificate with "Foundation Certificate in" and then the other part was generated based on the test you passed. It's also signed by some guy named J.P. van Nieustdadt, whoever the [expletive] that is. There is a picture of two guys that look loaded up with REI gear standing on top of a mountain, apparently symbolizing my great achievement and my ability to overspend on hiking gear.
I'm going to wipe my ass with it one day to get some value out of it.

I now know what it feels like to be prison raped. II is much, much worse than I. If you pass the December exam immediately start studying, and most importantly, doing problems every single day. I read all of the material, but wish I would have spent a lot more time grinding through problems. Swap math is like voodoo.
Side note, there were about half a dozen amazingly beautiful women taking the exam yesterday. Literally, some of the most beautiful girls I've seen in St. Louis. It was shocking.

This is my life right now.
It really sucks taking the CPA exam right now because of all the extra material on IFRS.

I'm not. Who gets hired in a largely still male profession for entry level positions in a slow economy, then wish to advance their careers?
- [SHOW]
- Pretty girls.

Got the results today. Failed with a score band of 9 (meaning I was in the top 81-90% of people who failed. FML). Accounting did me in. Four months seems like a lot of time to study, but when you're going through 2,500 pages of material every day is crucial. Wish I had had just a couple more weeks to plow through problems.
This blows, but on a positive note, this doesn't really change anything for me career wise. Next year is huge though.
