Is this possible? I think it would effectively catch most spammers and be less work than having to manually clean up constant garbage.
It has been good to have registration open to get new people after so long.

I think there should be a A,AA,AAA forums where people should have to earn their way to GRB MLB level through quality posts and quality low cost jerseys.

Well, it's the same amount of work for the mods, unless those unapproved posts time out after a period of time and I'm not aware of it.
You can do it though, it's one of the spam prevention tools we use at NSBB(although Tim manually activating all new users is likely the biggest deterrent).
