"This Reads"

I see plenty of it at my workplace. When someone else sends out an email, someone else will forward it with the words "This Reads:" before the original message. Nothing else has changed. Is this supposed to clarify things for me because I feel like I'm doing a "Spot The Differences" puzzle going out of my brain looking for how this is supposed to help.

That's a thing? I'd [expletive] stab someone in the eye with a fork if they did that to me. I understand your frustration.

So essentially instead of saying, "See below:" to forward someone else's message they've made up some dumb nonsense.
It's so weird how idiosyncratic phrases take off at companies even if they don't make any sense or have any value.
Where I work, everyone wants you to "download" them on what's going on, as in, they want you to fill them in on what you know about a particular situation.
What the [expletive] is that [expletive]? First off, if someone is telling you the information, they are uploading it to you, second, that's [expletive] dumb. Just ask the person what they know. Don't ask them to download you. It's stupid as hell and yet, dozens of people here have started saying it. I especially groan when new people start using it.

"touch base" is the new favorite where I work, but it is used [expletive] wrong. "Can you schedule a "touch base" later?" or "I think we need a touch base on that." It is a mother [expletive] meeting, or even an [expletive] update, [expletive] you and your touch base.

I find this all very cromulent. Very cromulent indeed.
