The fact Strauss broke it is a bit off-putting. But it makes sense that Carp would see the pen and say "F--- it, I'm coming back."

Not surprised that he's trying it. I will be surprised if it works out. I hope it does. Carp is awesome and would be a great fit for this team.

Even if he comes back (which I think is a long shot), I'm highly skeptical of him providing a meaningful contribution to the bullpen. Last season in the playoffs he looked brutal. His command was extremely inconsistent.
