A thumbs up for the money raised. I wish more people forked over money instead of subjecting mankind to the videos.

Yes, I'm tired of the videos. But it takes about .01 seconds to skip over a video, time that I was already wasting on facebook. And like Molly said, $90 million for ALS. So I can put up with the mild, selfish annoyance.

I may not be a fan of the Ice Bucket Challenge videos, but if that's what it takes to help out a good cause like ALS, so be it.

Now these videos where they don't even mention ALS-- not cool.

Even with all that money raised I still don't think it was worth the torture we've been put through

Wonder how that money gets spent? I hope it all goes to a good cause.

The other downside will be the spin offs. Pie for Parkinsons, Hollar for Hives, Cartwheels for cancer, etc. The online stupidity has only begun.

I mean, sometimes your friends don't say anything when they dump a bucket of water over their head for charity, and it's 110% worth it.

Cold water in summer for ALS must mean boiling water in winter for something, yeah?

I saw one video where the guy did the challenge (twice), and then railed against the ALS Foundation, stating that their CEO/President makes $300,000 euros (or something to that effect) and that only half the amount of the donations goes to the research, while the other half goes to pay staff.

The link provided above by Molly should prove or dispute that, though. If not, their Form 990 would show the top 5 compensated employees over $100k.
