Drafted in the first round (34th overall), signed for $2M. Ended up ranked as the 5th prospect in the GCL by BA. Great athlete, looks really polished for an 18 year old. Very repeatable delivery.



Sits 88-92, good feel for four pitches. Change could be a plus-plus offering. Slider has plus potential as well. 22.2IP with 29 K's and only 4 BB's. Keep an eye on this one. Ranked #5 overall in the GCL.


Sosa hit .275, 18 year old from Panama is in his second year. Good defensive SS that BA described as "frenetic style of fielding that is part athleticism, part improvisation."




Magneuris Sierra, OF. 5-11/160 out of the D.R. B-T L-L. Hit .386 in 202 AB's, 2 HR's and 12 2Bs. Covers ground, plus arm.

All three of these kids will be on the top-21 this year. I love Flaherty's plus change and command combo.

He's really small (5'11", 160lbs) and had only 2 HR. But he's only 18 so maybe he can develop some power in time. The kid hit .386 with an OPS of .939 at age 18 in rookie ball. He doesn't walk much but doesn't strike out much. Someone to keep an eye on.
