2014-15 NBA Season
All tipped off. I didn't watch either game, but the boxes for Parker and Wiggins are underwhelming on opening night.
I really wish New Orleans was in the East. Just seems like it would be good for the balance of the league. I wonder if I'll have any chances to see Davis play on tv without a package. MVP favorite with LeBron in even more of a sharing situation and Durant out two months?
I doubt the Blazers take a leap forward this year. Maybe a slight step back. It's just so hard in this league to get into that group of the few teams that matter. Maybe there'll be some surprises. Anyway, it's always fun to watch, until the Blazers rip your heart out again--and they feel overdue to drop some disaster on me. No, I wasn't going to open an NBA thread without my angsty/bitter/forlorn (but legitimately tortured) self-pity.

I always wondered where my Pellies would finish in the East. 3 or 4 seed, maybe?MrSaigon wrote:All tipped off. I didn't watch either game, but the boxes for Parker and Wiggins are underwhelming on opening night.

As it stands, I think AD's MVP chances rely on whether the Pels make the playoffs. I still think Lebron is the favorite even as a distributor, but Davis has no shot if the Pelicans are out of the hunt. I think we're talented enough to get there if we can stay healthy.

Will Maziel be fighting for camera time tonight at the Cavs game?

I watched the middle of the second quarter through the middle of the third quarter of the Blazers game last night (WS, other stuff kept me from watching more) and saw no less than 65 shots of Kevin Durant in street clothes reacting to stuff.BW23 wrote:Will Maziel be fighting for camera time tonight at the Cavs game?
Robin Lopez and Chris Kaman got a run in the lineup together. That is a strange pair of humans, but was also fairly effective.

That's pretty much what Barkley said on the TNT broadcast of Knicks-Cavs tonight. Asked what Melo will do if the Triangle doesn't fit him and he has to go iso and the team doesn't do well, Barkley's reply was "Oh he be fine when he get that two million dollar check in the mail twice a month."thrill wrote:They will.
