Why don't more people work the day before a holiday? I almost always get to leave early. It's an awesome deal.

I know. I always worked the day before Hollidays. Easiest work days of the year.

It depends on the holiday for me. Thanksgiving is the one where I always travel, so I take the day off to run errands before I leave town.

I have a personal rule about not working on Christmas Eve. I just don't believe in it.

As for the rest? I'm in until they let us go.

Working holidays wasn't a big deal when I was hourly raking in double time and a half. Now that I'm salaried, ehhhhh....

I guess I'll get a comp day somewhere down the line, but it's not the same.

I'm still at work. And not like in the old days when that meant I might be in bed. Bah.

I have to work billable hours, so leaving early means I have to take PTO or comp time. I did leave early yesterday, though. But days near holidays when few people are around are great days for productivity. Fewer calls and emails.
