By and large, the people who are classified as "idea people" are ass holes with no tangible understanding whatsoever of what it is they're asking about.

Rarely, you get one who actually knows WTF they're talking about and they're great, but the overwhelming majority of them can kiss my fat white ass.

I approve of this rant.

Problem is -if you oppose the "idea people's" ideas, then you are viewed negatively, and you are pegged as someone stuck in their ways/opposed to change.

City of St Louis is famous for embracing "idea people" hucksters.

My problem is "opinion people" who have no ideas and nothing substantial to back up their opinion.

IMO -too often the opinion people and the idea people are one in the same.

++ infinity. Its a label to excuse not knowing how to do any damned thing. (I've had to do the gruntwork, aka, fix crap for idiots who can't use powerpoint, for a lot of "idea people" in a few offices.)

People . . . who need idea people . . . are the UNLUCKIEST PEOPLE . . . in the world . . .
