There is this little breakfast place down the street that I go a couple times a month. Next to a gum ball machine is a machine that sells MLB team stickers. For the last 2 years I have walked away with Orioles, Sawxs, Mets, Braves, etc.
Not today, my friends. Today I got the holy grail: the Cardinals sticker.
Now if I can only get the Steelers sticker from the NFL machine at the grocery store my collection will be complete.

You have no idea how irrationally excited I was when I realized it was a Cards sticker.slide_into_first wrote:I love heartwarming stories like this.

I'm going to have to start doing these things again. I remember the NFL helmet collection I had as a kid. I pass by those machines from time to time and don't even look at them, but if they have some sports thing in them I'm going to have to start putting my quarters in those and recapturing the thrill of being a kid again for a minute.

My best friend's parents growing up owned those sticker machines. They had em all over st louis. They made enough to retire to a private beach estate in Costa Rica.
