Ufcking 80s Music

...and it's influence on modern music. At first it was just in indie music but now it's everywhere. Bruno Mars wants to do a funk song? Cool! No, Bruno Mars wants to do an 80s funk song. Dry heave.

It used to be just indie music, but now it's even on the Top 40 stations. We have this station here that has a tag line 'We Play Everything' which means, of course 'We Play Only 80s.' (I'm driving my brother's car right now, without my bluetooth or iPod setups).

I know I've said this 100 times, but I expletiving hate 80s music. There are some exceptions, but the synths. The burying of cool ideas in Casio horse-[expletive]. I expletiving hate it.

Look music maker: I'm sorry your formative years coincided with the discovery that you could shrink a piano to 1/100th of it's size. But the charm of that 1/100th sonic quality shouldn't have lasted a whole decade to inexcusably resurface 30 years later. The music of your childhood sucks. Get it out of my earholes.

Preach, brother Saigon! Preach!

I even grew up in the 80s and thought it was horrible.

When I'm driving my truck, it is tuned to one of three SiriusXM stations: Hair Nation, Spectrum, Lithium - in that order.

It also has presets of Rock & Roll HOF, Tom Petty's Buried Treasure, and E-Street Radio, but those three stations get about 10 minutes of airtime combined compared to the 8-10 hours of airtime per week that the other stations get.

I [expletive] love me some 80s hairband music.
