Who are the top managerial candidates to help fix this 98 win team? This incompetence can not stand.

Tony La Russa is my pick.

The team should use the newly introduced iPads in the dugout to always have GRB open, as the correct answers to any baseball conundrum will always be found here.

No manager necessary.

Also, anyone that ignores how valuable it is to control a clubhouse just read the Nationals comments about Matt Williams.

I doubt people are seriously advocating Firing Matheny....but it gets frustrating when he keeps making the same mistakes. sometimes you have to have the balls to make a pitching change when your gut tells you to

And that's the difference between someone like Matheny and someone like bochey. If a pitcher is struggling, bochey doesn't wait to hook him. Matheny has way too slow a hook.

Matheny does have a slow hook in my mind. But he's learning.

I saw a story about the iPads. Heretofore, MLB didn't allow them. Even now, they aren't allowed to hook up to a network - in other words, you can't use them to go online.

So, among other things, they can't log on to GRB.

I disagree. The first couple of years I thought he'd realize that some days a guy doesn't have it, so move on. But now, the more I hear about him (and from him), I feel like he is so into confidence building, and talk about how a guy has "earned it", that he will always stay with a guy too long. Because if they are young, they need to learn how to work through it; and a veteran has the wherewithal to fight through it.

Yeah, I saw that too. Which is why I thought it was clear the suggestion was comical.

I apologize.
