Got a random off the wall inquiry via email that turns out to be not a scam- I think. US based Japanese production company looking for someone to go to Japan to appear on some tv show as an American subject matter expert. Sounds like they need someone to ooh and aah over the cool japanese technology. Filming starts in 10 days. I nominated myself. All expenses paid plus 1500. How could I pass that up?

This is the premise for one of those Saw movies, isn't it?

If it's legit, nothing to lose. How can you verify that it's legit? As long as they don't ask for money or PII, then you have nothing to lose.

I hadn't thought that the TV show might actually be a show about dumbass foreigners who answer emails about appearing on a show in Japan Who then are pitted against each other in a fight to the death
