Big money international guy. Was deemed the top international starting pitcher outside of Cuba last year. I think we got him for a pretty cheap price though. He's a MOR type of guy. Good to see Sosa get some love- I've been quite high on him for a while now. I'd probably take Flaherty, Weaver, Gonzales over Cooney, but no major quibbles there. Cooney is ready for the big leagues now. Carson Kelly is a guy you just can't quit, but his bat has not come around at all.

There are others I'd put over him at this point I think, but I haven't sat down and really thought it through yet either.

Cooney at #2 surprises me, do they traditionally give more value to major league closeness? And if so, why isn't Tuivailala on the list? I assume relief only prospects aren't valued highly.

Charlie Tilson is another that's close to majors, could proabably provide at least a few years of productive years as a starting CF. I don't know if there's a window to do so for us, but would make a heck of a 4th OF. Aledmys Diaz has an argument also, but maybe I'm weighing most recent success too much.

Also like Harrison Bader and Austin Gomber as possible top ten inclusions.

I wonder if it's common for Baseball America to put more value based on organization needs. I don't know if Kelly belongs in the top ten, but for purposes of future needs, his development might be the most important of any prospect in the system. Same could be said about Sosa, but his inclusion is warranted regardless of future team needs.

Typically the way BA does it is to factor in what they call "Risk". That is risk of meeting their projected grades - or their potential. Cooney will have very low risk, so it will cause his rating to rise.

Tilson and Diaz I view both as role players. I'm looking forward to seeing Sosa in Peoria this year.

This is a deep system, with one potential star.

Definitely Reyes. But Sierra and Sosa are looking very good so far.

yea thats what i figured, but a lot of people are pretty high on sosa.
