Not making decisions quickly, which are you?

I've always been pretty good at making quick decisions. It takes me about 5 seconds to figure out what I want at a resturaunt. When shopping for clothes that's pretty easy too. Obviously big ticket items are to be researched a bit but still I'm pretty quick at weighing pros and cons and making a choice.

Indecision drives me nuts. I thought I'd ranted on this before but I did a search and I couldn't find it. My mother is the worst. She will take five minutes to figure out which Mcdonalds sandwich to get. I remember when we were remodeling part of our house when I was younger and trips to the home store were unbearable.

My gf is damn near as bad sometimes. This morning she was trying to decide what shoes to wear to work. Now I almost get it if she's having a day where she's doing consultations and is dressing up a little. However she was teaching a class today so it's do I wear the white tennis shoes with the pink accents or the pink tennis shoes with the white accents. It doesn't matter at all. No one is going to see past her yoga pants anyway. So after I jokingly making some wise comment about her not being able to make up her mind but really thinking "Jesus H Tap Dancing Christ let's go." She finally decides it's a white with pink day.

Are you a quick decision maker or one of those slow types.

Probably too quickly sometimes.

I think prolonged indecision is worse than making a wrong decision.

I am always decisive.

i can take awhile 'cause i can make arguments both ways usually. though if i've made a decision someplace (like, a meal at a restaurant) then i usually stick with that in future encounters

though i never think twice about stealing packages from doorsteps for drugs

There's a difference between indecision and thoughtful consideration.

I am too impatient for thoughtful consideration.

Since I say " it depends", that makes me a slow decider overall.

As I get older, I just don't waste time deciding on dumb things. for example -politics- who to vote for. I have no trouble deciding there. buying a car - I hate it, so get it done in half a day from start to finish. when the laptop or smartphone needed upgrade. That's a quick buy for me.

things that matter to me, like how to use vacation time and where to go- I do the leg work there. running shoes - I do some homework. what book to read.

Home projects, a lot of it is procrastination and laziness -but letting the proper decision come naturally and organizing [expletive] in my head seems to work for me. My wife had us charge headlong into a project last year during my busy season. I was out of that decision., it's all done and good now - but my procrastination slow-vetting method would have saved a lot of aggravation.

Turns out I'm not only slow, I'm wishy-washy. I could not for the life of me make a decision on medium vs large popcorn at the movie today. I ended up with the large, and threw half of it away. Kicking myself for that decision.

Irritates me that I can't change my vote on this.
