Someone needs to really crack this nut. Do women enjoy cracks about their age? Do they love gigantic cursive on the their Valentine's Day cards? Do people actually buy cards with greased up dudes or rednecks with their ass crack hanging out?

I usually end up getting a blank or minimal card, but then you have to think of something sincere and non-cliche to say. It seems completely possible that written the right way, a simple message on a card could be funny and poignant enough (for a card) to work on it's own. It boggles my mind that it's so hard to find a good one.

Yes, I have relatives who think cards like that are the funniest things EVAR!!

I don't send cards anymore. Why when you can just text and save time and money?

For certain people, they want the thought and the effort. It's the one thing my wife wants, which is hard to argue with all things considered. And she likes to have something tactile. If I get a present and no card, she mentions the card. If I don't get a present, it's no big deal as long as there's a card. I don't really get it, but it's one of those marriage things.

What I need to do is find a good assortment and buy a big bunch all at once. Etsy is probably the place I should be looking for her, but it's hard to do that last minute.

I've noticed it's almost impossible to find just a basic card anymore - they all play music, are covered with glitter, and have pop-out crap inside. Conveniently, these cards are all like $5.99, when just a two buck "hey I love you happy birthday" card is all anyone needs. BIG CARD is out of control.
