Getting cooking early. Apparently Celtics and Sixers in talks to trade #1 pick. Rumored Celts may use some acquired picks to trade for Jimmy Butler.

#1 for #3, Lakers 1st in 18 OR Kings 1st in 19.

The pick from the Lakers is protected if it's #1 or 6-30. So Sixers could still get MPJ in the following draft. If the Celts don't get the Lakers pick, they get whichever of the Kings or Sixers pick is better... unless the better pick is #1, in which case they get whichever one is worse.
It kinda seems like the Sixers came out better here.

I keep seeing that but Celts clearly don't want Ball- and apparently think Jackson, Tatum or Fox improve them as much as Fultz. Not sure how they lose here.

They've been hoarding picks for years and years, finally get the first overall pick and trade it away. And traded it with such stipulations that they've guaranteed themselves they won't be getting a first overall out of it no matter what.

Again, they added a first round pick and will still get one of the top guys. How is that bad? Obv if Fultz is so much better- guaranteed -than the others, it was a blunder. Otherwise I have no idea what you all are seeing.
