Disqualification. Guitar Town is the original from Steve’s ‘86 debut. Emmylou covered it on an excellent live album in the early 90s.

Aach. SCANDAL. I know i heard an interview with Steve Earle about Emmylou song bringing him out of the dumps. I assumed he heard it then covered. Well should have went with Pancho and Lefty

I vote The Band's- Atlantic City takes Steve Earls spot and we revote the match up.
I always thought that was Steve's song but when I saw the match up I assumed I was wrong. Steve Earl while certainly popular in some circles I think is hugely under rated.
