I have about a 1/2 mile walk from my office to my truck - completely un-shaded - that was the temp showing in my truck when I went to lunch today. I was drenched when I got back in to my office - which is a currently registering 69 degrees. I had to put my jacket on.

After driving the truck to lunch the temp fell all the way down to 114...almost jacket weather in PHX....

Yeah, your car's temp readout is higher when the metal has been sitting in the sun for a while, but it doesn't get that high unless youre in the 115 range, which absolutely super sucks.
