Can we start an XFL thread? Not much news yet but the team name and something else are supposed to be announced today. February 2020 is getting closer!

I don't see the league lasting this time either but since I'm still not OK with the NFL, at least there will be some professional football in town for a few weeks until they fold.

Not too interested in anything Vince McMahon related.

That's kinda terrible. It looks like a Catholic High School logo, and the name sounds like an 80s cartoon character.

If it wasn't the xfl's own twitter I'd assume it was a parody.

The names and logos are corny (?) and generic but whatever. I've been missing football and while I'm definitely not a fan of Vince McMahon, there will be a team here and I'll support them until the fold (most likely) or the league does something to alienate me like the NFL has.

If anything I want to pack the stadium every week while the team lasts as a big middle finger to StanK and the NFL. Football, tailgating and giving StanK a big FU are my reasons for being excited about the XFL and not necessarily in that order. Football might be third on my list of reasons if I'm being honest. I love football but I just don't see the level of play being that good. Hopefully they will surprise me.
