RIP Uncle Barney
I was going to visit my uncle Barney today about 10:30AM PT, it was the day before his birthday and my cousin Cathy was therealong with the Tacoma Fire Department. Cathy took me aside and told me that Uncle Barney had passed away the night before, possibly of a heart attack. She said she thought he died peacefully in his sleep. Uncle Barney was the one relative I was closest to, when he lived in Seattle I would take the bus to go see him, when he moved back to Tacoma and moved into a senior living facility I would visit him there too. I’m sorry I didn’t get to visit him before he died. Cathy said we would use my gift for him (a case of pop) at his Celebration of Life. I will miss him dearly and I am inconsolable.

Re: RIP Uncle Barney
My condolences on your loss, Mary. You had a special relationship with him. I’m glad there will be a Celebration of Life. Those can be very healing. The grief will remain, but time has a way of bringing the good times to the forefront of your memories.
I will light a candle for Uncle Barney at church tomorrow.
