Yankees’ No. 6 prospect Spencer Jones’ first weekend in the big leagues has been a struggle to erase concerns about his swing-and-miss tendencies as he had struck out in four of his first six at-bats. On Sunday he finally got the elusive first hit of his ML career, drilling the first pitch he saw in his second-inning at-bat against Milwaukee right-hander Logan Henderson--a 106.4 liner up the middle for a single.

Willson Contreras was hit on his right hand in the first inning at Fenway in the Sunday meeting of the Rays and Sox. He exited the game with a right hand contusion and will have imaging later today.

Contreras was struck immediately after a successful ABS challenge on a 1-1 count by a 94 mph fast ball. This was the 8th HBP for Contreras this season.
