He will be available for whatever situation comes up - long relief or lefty specialist assignments. If he enters the game out of the pen, it will be both his major league debut and the first time he has worked in relief in his professional career.

Liberatore is coming off consecutive starts which began well but then went south very quickly. They may be planning a quick hook with the versatility of Mautz on the roster.

Misiorowski will be a big challenge for the Cardinals offense.

His dad's family is from Wisconsin so the group from Cincy were met by a larger contingent of family members to create the Mautz Cheering Section at American Family Park.
