They have to be. He's a lot closer to free agency, which will affect the price despite being about the same age as JJ.

This seems like a crazy good deal for the Cardinals. 16.5m is not a lot of money these days.

And that 16,5 AAV is only if he meets all the bonuses (no idea what they are at this time)
