Cardinals post season press conference announced

The team will hold their annual end of season press conference Monday September 28 at 3 pm CT.
It is usually streamed on cardinals.com and probably on their youtube page; once there is an official link I will try and get it posted here.

Look forward to hearing about how they can’t spend money until the CBA is resolved. Then I look forward to hearing how the new CBA means they can’t spend money. With some flowery language from Bloom about how they really want to win.

Don't forget a sly reference to players demanding too much money, from a billionaire who pays less tax as a proportion of his earnings than we do.

The only player under contract for next season is Wetherholt. Everyone else is arb or pre-arb or dead money.
A remarkable feat.

and JJ is only making 2.75 next year, as his extension was heavily backloaded.
and the retained money is 9 for arenado and 4 for contreras; so both guys not on the team are making more than the 1 guy who is signed next year.
(after next year/starting 2028, there is no more retained money, so JJ is the only thing on the books for 2028)
